Infiniti is bringing a special edition Q50 sedan to the New York Auto Show.
Infiniti is celebrating its 30th anniversary at the New York International Auto Show and one of the models set to be unveiled is the 2019 Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition.
Infiniti also has an Inspiration-themed concept for the 2019 NYIAS, but the Q50 Signature Edition is the most tangible, ready to go product we will see from Infiniti at the show.
It features a range of improvements over the traditional Q50 including exclusive 19-inch wheels and some minor exterior modifications including a new front fascia. Under the hood, the new Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition gets a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 with 300 horsepower.
The Q50 Signature Edition also gets standard ProASSIST active safety technologies that include blind spot monitoring, Around View mirror with Moving Object Detection, front and rear sonar for easier parking, rear cross traffic alert and backup collision intervention.
Heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start, navigation, and SiriusXM satellite radio are all standard as well.
The 2019 Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition is essentially a loaded Q50 with a few exterior modifications. Is it a big deal? Not really, but it does shine a spotlight on an Infiniti model that needs a bit of attention.
The Infiniti Q50 is a good car on its own, but it has not been able to keep up with its competition despite above-average power, plenty of technology, and a modern design. A new special edition will likely help attract a bit of attention.
