2019 Ram HD Kentucky Derby Edition For The Real Horse Lover

RAM revealed the ultimate Kentucky Derby Edition HD truck to celebrate their 10-year anniversary as the Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby.

Only 1,000 of these loaded RAM 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty trucks will be made for those who are diehard horse racing fans. As Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand, put it: “The Kentucky Derby remains one of America’s most recognized sporting events.” This hardworking truck is packed with exclusive technology, luxury and good looks that make it fit to wear the Kentucky Derby name.”

As a serious tow vehicle, the Kentucky Derby Edition RAM features all the necessary gear, from a 360-degree surround-view camera with trailer-reverse guidance, fifth-wheel/gooseneck prep, air suspension with bed lowering, power-retracting running boards and more.

Up front, buyers will have the choice between a Cummins 6.7-liter Turbo Diesel inline-6-cylinder or the faithful 6.4-litre HEMI V8. The Cummins is the way to go as its 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque will allow it to tow up to 35,100 lbs!

The cabin will be a luxurious affair. The Ram Kentucky Derby Edition will include the superb Uconnect 12-inch touchscreen with navigation and satellite radio, premium unique-colour full-leather front and rear seats and real wood accents.

The RAM Heavy Duty Kentucky Derby Edition is on sale now in the US. Pricing starts at $66,890 for a 2500.
