2019 Toyota Corolla

The 2019 Toyota Corolla starts at $16,790 in Canada and is offered in 6 versions.

Most models are powered by a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. The LE ECO model is back for 2019 with a 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 140 horsepower.

The 2019 Corolla is one of the few compact vehicles to offer advanced active safety equipment standard with the Toyota Safety Sense P suite offered on all Corolla versions. Features of TSS-P include Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection function, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist function, Automatic High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

The other significant addition to the 2019 Corolla family is the new Hatchback model introduced at last year’s New York International Auto Show. The 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback starts at $20,980 and features its own unique 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 168 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.

Matt test drove the Corolla Hatchback and came away surprised by how fun it was to drive. It also has more than 600 liters of cargo space.
