- 2020 NAIAS will host a four-day European supercar street festival;
- The event begins Friday, June 5, just ahead of the Show;
- The festival will gather Italian and British supercars.
The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is adding a four-day festival ahead of this year’s show next June.
Motor Bella is a festival of Italian and British supercars and will take place from Friday, June 5 to Monday, June 8.
“When we began to re-envision NAIAS, our goal was to expand the show into the city, provide more ways for the community to interact with the brands, and really showcase the global car culture throughout Detroit,” said NAIAS Executive Director Rod Alberts. “Motor Bella will take place in one of the most dynamic and growing areas of the city and will give showgoers an opportunity to engage with Italian and British luxury and sports car brands.”
Over 100 Italian and British supercars are going to be showcased during the street festival. Brands like Ferrari, Rolls Royce, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lotus and McLaren, to name a few, will be displayed at different landmarks in Detroit.
Places like the Brakeman and Shinola Hotel, Detroit Opera House, and the Element Hotel at the Metropolitan or even in Parker’s Alley will be used for the occasion.
Many of the vehicles showcased at the Motor Bella festival will be accessible by all attendees, says the NAIAS. Meanwhile, one-of-a-kind cars will be displayed under a marquee next to the Opera House, the Show added.
“Motor Bella is an exciting and significant new event that is only possible this year because of our decision to move the show from January to June,” said Doug North, chairman of 2020 NAIAS. “This is an example of how 2020 NAIAS is changing and adapting to meet the needs of our industry partners as we reinvent the show.”
The 2020 North American International Auto Show opens to the public on June 13th and will end on June 20th. Motor Bella, on the other hand, will start on June 5th and concludes on June 8th.
