The Karma Revero, previously the Fisker Karma, receives important updates and goes on sale later this year.
The Fisker Karma is a rare and exotic sight. So rare that you’ve probably seen a Karma Revero and not noticed. For the 2020 model year however, the Karma Revero GT comes with a considerable facelift which includes a new hood, doors, deck-lid, and more. The cabin too is updated with new seats in both rows with improved ventilation and the steering wheel is heated.
Most of these physical improvements were revealed when the 2020 Karma Revero GT was unveiled a few months ago. This includes the use of a BMW-sourced hybrid system that features a BMW Twin Power Turbo 3-cylinder engine as a range extender. Attached is an all-new powertrain with two electric motors. All told, power output is now 536-horsepower with 1,100 lb-ft of torque.
This plug-in hybrid gains a 28kWh lithium-ion battery that provides up to 80 miles or 128km of electric range. Total driving range increases to 580km.
The 2020 Karma Revero GT’s starting price is set at $135,000 USD, or $5,000 more than the previous model. This makes it more expensive than a Tesla Model S Performance with a similar total range. Although the Model S is quicker, the Karma will be a far more exclusive car.
