A day before the unveiling of the all-new Land Rover Defender, a magazine leaked the SUV.
The 2020 Land Rover Defender will make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show tomorrow. But now, thanks to a South African magazine, we can get a glimpse of the actual production version undisguised. British magazine Autocar were the first to put them online.
For many months Land Rover teased us with new pictures of the Defender in action and during testing without much to reveal. That didn’t stop a Land Rover forum member to leak a presentation and therefore, the specs of the 2020 Defender.
The leak indeed confirmed that the next-gen Land Rover Defender will be offered in three different body-styles, 90, 110 and 130 which will be marketed for “young, affluent, fun-seeking individuals”, “couples and self-employed adventurers” and “family with active lifestyle & travel” respectively.
Also, the British manufacturer confirmed earlier this year that the new SUV will make its way to North America. A place where it has been absent for nearly a quarter century.
Late last month, Land Rover gave the first glimpse of the next-gen Defender by posting a picture of the front grille with some mud on it.
The 2020 Land Rover Defender will be unveiled live on the carmakers Facebook and Youtube pages. The reveal will start tomorrow, September 10th at 09:50 CEST (3:50AM EST) live from the Frankfurt Motor Show floor.
