The Geneva Motor Show introduced the updated GLC SUV and just ahead of the New York Auto Show, we get a glimpse at the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC, the successor to the very popular GLK-Class, has proven to be just desirable for luxury SUV buyers. It arrived for the 2016 model year and both body styles, the SUV and the Coupe were in need of a little attention.
Just a few weeks ago, in Geneva, Mercedes-Benz revealed the mid-cycle refreshed GLC SUV and now in the GLC Coupe’s turn. For both, the upgrades and updates are fairly minor.
The cabin is where most of the attention went as the vehicles now feature a new multifunction steering wheel, a large 12.3-inch instrument panel and to its immediate right, a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen. Accessing menus on the main display is no longer done via the old rotary wheel. In its stead, the operator can work them through steering wheel controls, the screen itself or through Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX Interior Assistant.
Physically, the GLC coupe’s changes are limited new revised grille and headlights, new rear diffuser framed by angled tailpipes. Below the bonnet, the turbocharged 2.0-litre 4-cylinder powered version gain 14-horsepower for a total of 255.
The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC and GLC Coupe will go on sale later this year.
