2020 Toyota Supra TRD Concept May Be Headed Our Way

You already know that thousands of different Toyota Supra customization products are headed our way.

Toyota will likely join the aftermarket party with a range of TRD products for their upcoming redesigned halo car. This 2020 Toyota Supra TRD concept unveiled in Japan yesterday shows off all the potential of a TRD lineup of products for the new Supra.

Officially called the GR Supra Performance Line, TRD’s Supra customization products are not confirmed yet, but the concept shown in the pictures below certainly seems production-ready.

We can clearly see the lines of the new Supra and we like that TRD didn’t go over the top with their tuning products. They make the car look even more agressive and different enough from the original Supra without being too cartoonish or impractical.

Front and rear lips have been added, the spoiler was extended as were the side sills, and BBS-style black wheels replace the original 19-inch wheels. The hood now features two additional air intakes and the rear wheel arches get a new forward trim.

Power stays the same, however. Japan gets two other Supra models with 194 and 258 horsepower respectively that we don’t get along with the 3.0-liter turbo inline-six with 335 horsepower that North Americans will get. TRD hasn’t announced plans to provide products that increase power just yet.

The 2020 Toyota Supra is expected to reach 100 km/h in around 4.5 seconds. An 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters will send power to the rear wheels. The Supra is a two-seater which is set to arrive this summer.
