It’ll also crush the 0-100km/h sprint in only 3.7 seconds.
The GT Performance Edition is priced at $82,995 in Canada.
Deliveries begin this fall.
Ford’s approach is a smart one. For most of the new Mustang Mach-E’s specs and data, Ford’s opted to under-promise only to then see official numbers over-deliver. This strategy shines through with the GT Performance’s now official EPA-estimated range of 418 km.
When it was first announced, Ford teased that the hotly-anticipated Mustang Mach-E GT Performance was not only going to crush the 0-100km/h sprint but deliver a targeted 375 km range. The final number handily exceeds this figure by more than 10%.
“With Pirelli summer tires, MagneRide damping system, Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition drivers get the performance thrills of 0-100 kph in 3.7 seconds while being able to travel further with the final EPA-estimated range of 418 km,” said Darren Palmer, global director, Battery Electric Vehicles, Ford Motor Company.
Priced from $82,995 in Canada, the AWD 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance matches the Tesla Model Y Performance acceleration times for about $1,000 less. The Model Y’s range remains superior at an EPA-estimated of 488 km.
The GT Performance’s dual electric motor setup generates a combined 480 horsepower and an astonishing 634 lb.-ft. of torque. Deliveries of the GT Performance are set to begin this fall.
