2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Production Officially Underway

The highly-anticipated 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E has much riding on its shoulders as Ford’s first-ever dedicated EV

  • Production began on Monday, October 26th.

  • The first units land in dealerships in late December.

The First Edition of the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E will be the first to arrive when the Mustang-inspired electric crossover finally hits the showroom floor. It was first announced almost a year ago and when pre-sales for the First Edition opened, they sold out very quickly. Now, units of the Mach-E are finally rolling off the assembly line.

Ford’s 2021 Mustang Mach-E all-electric SUV will feature some impressive technologies such as OTA updates and quick charging abilities, power, and range. In fact, a few months ago, Ford announced that they were upping output for the various models, cutting prices of many trims, and figure that actual EPA range ratings will be better than initially stated.

According to fordauthority.com, the Ford Cuautitlan Plant in Mexico began churning out Mach-Es just this past Monday. Emma Berg, Ford Global EV Communications Manager, confirmed that the Mach-E is “on schedule to start customer deliveries in late 2020,”

The First Edition, of which Ford decided to increase the number of available units, features the extended-range battery, dual motors, and other unique touches.

Canadian pricing for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E begins at $50,495 for the base Select trim.
