2021 Mazda6 Starts From $27,550 in Canada

Mazda6 gets small price change, small content changes for 2021

  • Adds red-leather Kuro Special Edition

  • Comes with Wireless Apple CarPlay on GT-spec

The Mazda Mazda6 is getting a new special edition for 2021 and is adding wireless Apple CarPlay to GT-spec, and while there aren’t any changes to the base model, Mazda’s only raising the price a small amount. The 2021 Mazda6 will start from $27,550 in Canada, $200 more than last year.

For the special edition, the Mazda6 gains a new Kuro edition. That one features garnet red leather seats as well as your pick of Polymetal Grey or Jet Black exterior paint (pick the grey!) as well as black accents inside and out. The Kuro is based on the GT trim and that car’s wireless CarPlay (all other 6’s have corded Android Auto and CarPlay) and 11-speaker Bose audio system. It gets the 227 hp 2.5L turbo-four as well.

Base Mazda6 GS has a 186 hp 2.5L non-turbo-four and gets active safety kit like Smart City Brake Support Front, Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. GS-L adds faux leather seats and a heated wheel plus adaptive cruise and some other active safety enhancements that make it a more appealing choice than base, and then at the top of the line, the Signature trim offers Nappa leather that is, frankly, out of place (in a good way) in this class, giving it an elegant appearance in wither white or chestnut trimmed with real Japanese Sen wood. This year, Signature adds Smart City Brake Support Rear and Driver Attention Alert.

The 2021 Mazda6 should hit dealers in November.

Mazda6 GS $27,550
Mazda6 GS-L $31,650
Mazda6 GT $34,950
Mazda6 Kuro Edition $37,950
Mazda6 Signature $39,500
