- 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLB will be unveiled on December 11
- Sketch shows a taller, wider SUV design
The new 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA will be unveiled on December 11 and already we can tell it will be more of a traditional SUV compared to the previous generation.
The first GLA sold well, but it felt more like a hatchback than a small SUV. The 2021 GLA will likely feature a more traditional sport utility vehicle design inspired by the new GLE and GLS models. A sketch unveiled today seems to confirm it.
The redesigned GLA seems shorter than the outgoing model and the proportions are bulkier overall. It also looks like it would have better ground clearance overall. A second picture released by Mercedes-Benz shows the interior partially including air vents taken out of other Mercedes-Benz entry-level models. M-B says MBUX will also be included in the new GLA.
The redesigned 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLA will slot next to the new GLB as Mercedes-Benz’ entry-level SUV offerings and should be priced around $43,000 in Canada like the current model.
For now, that’s all we know about the new Mercedes-Benz GLA, but we will keep you posted next Wednesday.
