Contrary to recent reports, looks like the new Nissan Z is coming soon.
Nissan releases a teaser video on YouTube that is certain to excite Z fans.
Only last week, we reported that Nissan had affirmed that the next-generation of their fabled Z car was more than two years away. Lo and behold, Nissan has just released a teaser video featuring not only a darkened image of the new Z at the end but a few glorious moments of the car’s past generations.
We almost have to believe that Nissan purposefully mislead automotive media as the news, that wasn’t news, that the next Z was to be delayed until late 2022 is only a few days old. No matter, we’re quite content with begin wrong as we are genuinely happy that a new Z (potentially names 400Z) will be revealed in only two weeks.
We are truthfully jazzed by the minute-long video which shows the Nissan Z’s evolution through design, motorsports, generations, and logos. The end-scene is a shrouded image of the Z Proto where only the LED headlight’s shape is visible, and it looks very much like all renderings that have so far circulated on the web.
The Nissan Z Proto, for Prototype, will be revealed at 8 am Japanese time on September 16th at the Nissan Pavilion. For those in the Eastern timezone, the event will take place at 7 pm on the 15th.
