New RDX restyled with a sportier MDX-inspired image.
The suspension is returned for more comfort.
Acura will offer only 15 units of the limited PMC Edition in Canada.
The Acura RDX is a go-to high-end SUV for those looking for styling and content without paying a premium. The current third-generation RDX launched just over three years ago for the 2019 model year. The updates for the 2022 model year mark the SUV’s half-time update.
“This new RDX is the most premium version Acura has ever built and will no doubt continue its legacy of success in Canada,” says James Marchand, assistant vice president Acura Canada. “Over 90 thousand RDXs have been sold here since 2006, it will remain a testament to our commitment to Precision Crafted Performance.”
The new 2022 Acura RDX will be distinguishable up front by its updated grille, larger air intakes, while the rear features new cut-outs for the dual exhaust tips. A new Liquid Carbon Metallic carbon colour is added while Phantom Violet Pearl will be offered on RDX models equipped with the Technology Package.
For 2022, the RDX will be delivered with standard Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa Built-In, and available Qi-compatible wireless charging.
The driving experience will be heightened with an updated Integrated Dynamics System which will deliver a more distinct driving feel between its four driving modes. Relatedly, the available Adaptive Damper System has been retuned to deliver more response in Sport mode and more comfort in Comfort mode.
Beyond the base and A-Spec versions of the new 2022 RDX, Acura will offer all of 15 PMC Edition models. Painted Long Beach Blue from the NSX Type S, the PMC Edition will also feature gloss-black exterior touches, unique 15-spoke 20-inch wheels, and an Orchid Milano leather interior, also borrowed from the supercar.
Production of the new 2022 Acura RDX will begin this fall. Pricing will be released closer to the launch date.
