CT4-V will have 450 horsepower from twin-turbo V6.
CT5-V earns Corvette’s 650 horsepower supercharged V8.
CT5-V can optionally be fitted with AWD.
We are only a few days away from the all-new 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing being revealed but, guess what? Yup, details and information on both super-Caddys have leaked and it’s all good news.
The CT4-V Blackwing will be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre V6 (not the one in the CT5-V) which will deliver about 450 horsepower. True enthusiasts will be able to select a 6-speed manual transmission (10-speed auto also offered) that will send the power to the rear wheels only. High-performance Brembo brakes will be standard and there will be nine exterior colour selections and five interior colour combinations.
The CT5-V Blackwing will pick up where the last CTS-V left off, and then some. Its power will come from none other than the C7 Z06 Corvette’s 650-horsepower supercharged 6.2-litre V8. It too will be offered with a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. The CT5-V Blackwing will also be RWD however all-wheel-drive will also be available. While it’s not clear in the CadillacVNet story, we assume AWD will automatically include the autobox. We hope to be wrong.
The all-new 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will be revealed on Monday, February 1st. We’d also love to see an Escalade Blackwing at this event – the time seems right.
