2022 Hyundai Kona N to Start at $35,425 in the United States

American prices for the Hyundai Kona N have been disclosed

  • The Kona N is a high-performance version of the Kona sub-compact SUV

  • It has a 276 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine

Hyundai has just announced the starting price for the new Kona N in the United States, which will be $35,425, including a $1,225 destination charge.

This price will give access to the latest member of Hyundai’s N family of performance models which already include the Veloster N and the Elantra N. The Kona N will be the first SUV to wear the N badge and Hyundai is confident it will live up to its reputation for engaging driving dynamics and performance.

The Kona N will sit at the top of the Kona range, so it will be equipped with most of the standard and available equipment offered on the regular Kona models.

On the safety side, the Kona N will benefit from standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Alert and Safe Exit Warning.

Where the Kona N will distinguish itself from the other Kona models in on its appearance and its powertrain.

From the outside, the Kona N adopts more aggressive lines, with exclusive wheels and a blacked-out grille, as well as black door mirrors.

The powertrain of the Kona N will be the same that is found in the Veloster N and the Elantra N, meaning a 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged engine that is capable of 276 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. The only transmission available to put the power down will be an 8-speed wet dual-clutch transmission that is exclusive to N badged models.
