Mitsubishi is readying the 2022 Outlander. The new model will be launched in a new way for both brands in a aprtnership with Amazon. The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander will be the first model to be revealed on Amazon Live. And while we’re watching the reveal, the new model is already on its way to showrooms from the automaker’s factory in Japan.

We’ve seen glimpses of a camouflaged version of the 2022 Outlander already, and we have some info about the new model from Mitsubishi. Like that it will get a new version of Super All-Wheel Control AWD on a new platform.

Mitsubishi Canada announced today that the new Outlander would be revealed on Amazon Live, the first vehicle to make its debut on the platform, on Feburary 16th at 6 pm EST. Mitsubishi says the new model is developed under the ideal “I-Fu-Do-Do,” which is a Japanese term meaning “authentic and majestic.” The automaker says it will offer an upscale interior while delivering a bold new exterior design direction for the brand.

“The all-new Outlander not only represents a new phase of Mitsubishi Motors design, but with its premium features, the vehicle is set to be a game-changer,” said Mitsu global sales and marketing boss John Signoriello.

Meanwhile, though we haven’t yet seen them, Mitsubishi said that first production models of the new Outlander had rolled off of the line at the Okazaki Plant in Aichi Prefecture where they are built. With the North American shipment starting today, the new model should begin to arrive at dealers just a few weeks after the reveal.
