The fully redesigned 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander will go on sale in April, and pricing for the crossover has just been announced for the Canadian market.
Seven trim levels will be offered in the country, all of which will include the company’s S-AWC all-wheel drivetrain, in addition to a 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine that develops 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, managed by a continuously variable automatic transmission. Advanced safety features such as lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking front and rear as well as driver attention alert all come standard as well.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander ES S-AWC will start at $31,998 before freight and delivery charges. It will include seven-passenger seating, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear park sonar, LED headlights with washers, a windshield wiper de-icer, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
Next up, the $34,648 Outlander SE S-AWC adds power-folding mirrors, a hands-free power liftgate, a power panoramic sunroof, roof rails, a heated steering wheel, an intelligent key, tri-zone climate control and wireless phone charging. What the brand believes will be its volume seller is the Outlander LE S-AWC at $37,738, which features 20-inch wheels, embedded navigation, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, Mitsubishi Connect services (with a smartphone app) and a nine-inch infotainment touchscreen, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The $38,238 LE Premium S-AWC gets a faux-suede interior and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander SEL S-AWC is priced from $40,208 and offers quilted leather upholstery, driver-side position memory for the seat and mirrors, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats and a 12.3-inch digital driver instrument panel. The $41,678 Outlander GT S-AWC piles on the new MI-PILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving system, front park sonar, lane keep assist and active blind spot assist, head-up display, rear-door pull-up sunshades and a 10-speaker Bose stereo. Last but not least, the range-topping $42,178 GT Premium S-AWC features semi-aniline leather upholstery.
