2022 Toyota Tundra Finally Teased

Up until now, many thought the Tundra had been forgotten by Toyota. A new one is on the way!

  • It’s only an image but this is the first sighting of the long-awaited Tundra replacement.

  • The only concrete detail is that it will keep its body-on-frame configuration.

The current-generation Toyota Tundra has made countless Top 10 oldest vehicle lists for years now. Introduced two decades ago, if you count that it landed in 2007 and that the 2010s are well behind us, the Tundra is seriously old. Finally, 15 model years later, there are signs of a new one!

Despite its age, the Toyota Tundra has always been a favorite for its brutishness and true unrefined “truckness”. Throughout the years, it has received a number of updates including a semi-comprehensive facelift in 2014.

But now, an all-new generation Toyota Tundra is on the horizon. Toyota’s press release on the matter says little about the truck other than the following:

“The future of Toyota Trucks is bright with the all-new, next-generation 2022 Toyota Tundra leading the way. Reengineered with uncompromising power and loaded with advanced tech, this body-on-frame beast is eager to hit the road roaring.”

The PR states that the all-new Tundra is coming soon which we assume could mean that we’re mere weeks away from a full reveal.

We’ll keep you posted when we know more.
