This is the ultimate bargain supercar.
The Z06 is powered by a 670-horsepower V8.
Canadian pricing is not yet known.
The Chevrolet Corvette, America’s supercar, has time and again proven that paying through the wazoo for performance is not necessary. The latest iteration of the Vette, the C8, is hot and Z06 version is even hotter. And it will be practically affordable.
What continues to blow our minds is that the Z06 is only the second version, beyond the Stingray, that Chevrolet has so far introduced. The follow-up Vettes are expected to be even crazier than the already spectacular 670-horsepower Z06.
Priced from $86,995, according to Top Speed, 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will feature a dual overhead cam flat-plane crank naturally aspirated 5.5-litre LT6 V8 engine that also produces 460 lb.-ft. of torque. The 8,600 rpm screamer will be matched to a dual-clutch 8-speed automatic gearbox that will send the power to the rear wheels.
2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Officially Unveiled With 670 Horsepower
The starting price will be exactly that, and for the coupe. The convertible will add to the amount obviously but there will also be a number of options to select from. According to the source, packages such as the available Z07 group, which adds exposed carbon fibre ground effects, may also be offered with the Z06. One option should be carbon fibre wheels which could cost at least $10,000.
A convertible Z06 with options could set you back $130,000 or still about $170,000 less than a new 720-horsepower Ferrari F8 Spider.
