Latest Accord comes with Google built-in
Offers hybrid and gas power
The 2023 Honda Accord sedan is getting ready to arrive at dealers in Canada next month. The latest generation of the sedan offers one turbo and two hybrid variants, starting from $37,000.
Honda’s base model this year is the EX. It offers a 1.5L turbo-four that makes 192 hp and 192 lb-ft. Honda says that the engine has been updated this year to make it more refined and to help improve its emissions, along with CVT changes to help quiet down that transmission.
EX models will get standard heated seats, power moonroof, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloys, and an eight-speaker audio system. It will also include the Honda Sensing driver assistance suite. This includes adaptive cruise, traffic jam assist, and other driver aids. Honda says it has been made to operate more smoothly this year.
Sport trim comes with the 2.0L hybrid system that makes 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. Fuel efficiency for the Sport hybrid is 5.3 L/100 km city. The Sport trim adds a leather shifter and heated wheel along with 19-inch alloys. It will also have a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. The Touring trim, from $44,500, adds a head-up display, Bose audio, wireless charging, and ventilated front seats.
This new Accord will also be the first Honda with Google built-in. That adds Google Assistant, the Google Play app store, and Google Maps to the car. It also offers enhanced voice recognition and more voice control commands.
The 2023 Honda Accord sedan should hit dealers in early February.
