The GX trudges into 2023 with no significant changes
But that’s exactly how buyers want this true SUV
The iconic Lexus GX returns for 2023, with the biggest changes to the price and the name of the base-model trim. That is the GX 460 Signature for the new year, starting from $73,600 in Canada.
GX is classic Lexus, a timeless (that means it was last all-new in 2009 and last refreshed in 2019) off-roader based on an incredibly solid platform and powered by a V8 that will probably run until the death of the sun.
Signature, the base for 2023, comes with triple LED lamps, 18-inch alloys, power roof, and even heated and ventilated front seats, making it base in name only. A Black Line GX 460 adds to Signature with gloss black wheels and roof rails, with most of the rest of the trim painted black. Inside it has a panoramic view monitor system and trail cameras including an underfloor view.
Step up to GX 460 Premium for $81,550 and add a 17-speaker 7.1-channel Mark Levinson audio system, power-fold third row, and the extra cameras of the Black Line.
Meanwhile, at the top of the line, you’ll find the GX 460 Executive with a front console cool box, multi-terrain select, enhanced crawl control, fuel tank skid plate, and a transmission cooler for $82,250.
All 2023 GX 460 models get a 301 hp 4.6L V8 and a six-speed automatic. They also have active height suspension control, Kinematic Dynamic Suspension System, and 6,500 lb tow rating.
The 2023 Lexus GX 460 is on sale at dealers now.
