2023 Lexus RZ Pricing Announced in Canada

On sale this spring.

  • The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e starts at $64,950 in Canada before freight and delivery charges.

  • Signature, Luxury and Executive trim levels are on deck.

  • 312 horsepower, driving range estimated at up to 360 kilometres.

The 2023 Lexus RZ 450e will arrive in Canada this spring, and on the eve of its premiere at the Montreal Auto Show, the luxury brand announced pricing for the fully electric crossover.

The RZ is the brand’s first EV for the North American market, but not its first-ever electric vehicle. That title goes to the Lexus UX 300e that’s sold in China and in Europe. The RZ 450e is a compact-sized crossover that’s more suited for our market, and is available in Canada in trim levels—Signature, Luxury and Executive.

All three get the same powertrain consisting of two electric motors, creating an all-wheel drivetrain, or what the brand calls DIRECT4. Total output is rated at 312 horsepower, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Meanwhile, the 71.4 kWh battery pack provides an estimated driving range of up to 360 kilometres when equipped with the Signature’s Dark Metallic Grey 18-inch alloy wheels, and up to 320 kilometres with the Luxury and Executive grades’ 20-inch rollers.

Base price for the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e Signature is set at $64,950 before freight and delivery charges, which are currently set at $2,205 for other Lexus models. The Signature trim is equipped with the Lexus Interface infotainment touchscreen linked to a 14-inch touchscreen, heated front seats and steering wheel, NuLuxe leatherette upholstery, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, headlamps washers and a windshield wiper de-icer, blind spot monitoring and the Lexus LSS+ 3.0 active safety suite, among other things.

Next up is the RZ 450e Luxury, which starts at $73,550 and includes a fixed panoramic glass roof, 20-inch wheels with Black and machined finish, driver’s seat position memory, ventilated front seats, a surround view monitor, a power liftgate with kick sensor, front-knee heating, Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking and more. The Executive trim starts at $80,950 and adds 20-inch High Gloss wheels, acoustic front and rear glass, heated rear seats, Ultrasuede seat upholstery, head-up display, an upgraded driving instrument cluster, a Lexus Digital Key, intelligent high beams, Advanced Park and an 1,800-watt Mark Levinson 13-speaker surround sound system.

The new 2023 Lexus RZ will compete against the fully electric Cadillac Lyriq, the Tesla Model Y, the Volvo XC40 Recharge and the Mercedes-Benz EQB in the luxury-brand segment.
