Here are your options and features for the new Zed car
Every Nissan dealer getting one Z to start
An alleged Canadian dealer order guide for the upcoming 2023 Nissan Z has just leaked. It shows colour and feature options for the sports car, but it also has one piece of surprising news: Each dealer will get just one car, at least in the initial production run.
According to the guide, leaked on NewNissanZ (via Autoblog) The base model in Canada will be called the Nissan Z Sport trim, offering a six-speed stick or nine-speed automatic. Both have a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 with 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Next up is the Performance trim, which will add 19-inch wheels, larger brakes, and a clutch-type limited-slip rear. It will also have cosmetic changes like new seats.
At the top of the line is the Proto spec, which wears bronze alloys and yellow brake calipers. They’ll also have leather seats with yellow accents and yellow stitching around the cabin.
The base sport will be offered in four paint colours, black, gunmetal, blue two-tone, and white. Proto Spec will be black only, but Performance will offer choices including blue, yellow, and red. Two-tone black roof options will be available.
According to the leaked presentation that accompanied the Nissan order guide, “for the initial Z production, every dealer in Canada will get 1 unit” of the Sport or the Performance trim. Some are looking at that to mean there will only be 194 Zed cars offered in Canada, but we think it means that the first shipment will be distributed fairly, making sure every store has a chance at one, and can get more in subsequent production runs. Proto Spec models will be allocated based on each dealer’s Z sales from 2018-2020.
We’re still not sure when exactly the first cars will arrive.
