Camry drops old base LE model for 2023
SE Grade becomes base trim in Canada
New Nightshade hybrid adds bronze wheels
Toyota Canada has just announced pricing for the 2023 Camry. The sedan doesn’t get much in the way of changes, but it will see a large increase in starting price for those who wanted their large sedan with less equipment.
For 2022, the entry point to the Toyota Camry lineup was the LE trim at $27,750. For 2023, an LE grade Camry starts from $30,190. What’s the difference? Now the LE comes standard with Toyota’s hybrid drive system instead of a naturally aspirated four-cylinder. Like for like the price is actually $100 less than last year, but the entry model has been retired.
That leaves the starting point for the 2023 Camry lineup the SE at $30,190, up from $29,890 in 2022. Camry SE includes that 2.5L four, 17-inch alloys, and a power heated driver’s seat, so it’s not short on equipment. It’s also available with all-wheel drive.
Camry Hybrid will be offered in LE, SE, XSE, and XLE grades, while the four-cylinder is SE and XSE AWD only. The XSE TRD trim ($37,440) offers Toyota’s 3.5L V6 along with TRD exhaust, performance suspension, and sporty interior details that include a new heated steering wheel this year.
Camry Hybrid Nightshade is a new limited production package that adds 19-inch bronze wheels, black trim including door handles, mirror caps, and badges, and a black spoiler. All as upgrades to the SE Upgrade model.
The 2023 Toyota Camry is at dealers now.
