What are the Features of the 2024 Honda Prologue?

The 2024 Honda Prologue was developed jointly with General Motors. It borrows the Ultium electric architecture developed by the American giant. Thus, it shares its platform with the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq.

In terms of dimensions, the Prologue is 200 mm longer and 125 mm wider.

Like the eleventh-generation Accord, the Prologue integrates Google technology, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility come as standard. The infotainment system’s touchscreen measures 11.3 inches. Right in front of the driver’s eyes is the 11-inch digital instrument cluster.

Three equipment levels are available. EX and EX-L versions come with 19-inch wheels, while the Touring version has 21-inch wheels. The head-up display is reserved for this version. A panoramic sunroof and Bose stereo system are standard on EX-L and Touring models.

For the Canadian market, Honda is offering a single mechanical formula for the Prologue. Indeed, It features two permanent magnet electric motors. These are located on the front and rear axles. Thanks to this configuration, the 2024 Prologue benefits from four-wheel drive.

EX-L and Touring versions will be more expensive.

What do we think of the 2024 Honda Prologue?

While many automakers have entered the electric market in the last decade, Honda has been lagging behind. We’ll have to wait a few more months to see the first vehicle land on our market.

On the technical front, we’re confident that the 2024 Prologue will be up to current standards, given that it was developed in partnership with General Motors. As you’ll recall, the American giant has been hard at work in the electric vehicle sector in recent years.

What’s more, we’re convinced that its layout and format will appeal to Canadian consumers. They’ll appreciate its hatchback, four-wheel drive, eligibility for subsidies and more-than-reasonable range.

On the other hand, we’re concerned about the automaker’s real motivation to break into the electric market. Indeed, although Honda is late to the electric ball, its foray remains timid. The automaker plans to market its first electric vehicle in only three Canadian provinces. We suspect that demand will outstrip supply, and that the wait will be considerable for consumers here.
