Two special colours for final edition
ZP a nod to the project that built the first racing E-Types
It’s the last of the V8s. The final gas-powered sports car from one of the automakers that invented the genre. The 2024 Jaguar F-Type ZP edition is a sad send-off to the very long line of gasoline sports cars from Jag.
The ZP shows that if Jag is going out, it is doing so with a bang. Based on the 567 hp 575-badged version of the 5.0L supercharged Jaguar V8, the ZP will be offered in just two colours.
The Oulton Blue with red and black cabin and Crystal Grey with blue and black cabin models are a shout-out to the first race-winning Jaguar E-Type models of 1961. It’s the first time for either colour on an F-Type, but Jag brought the paint back for a pair of reproduction classic E-Type models earlier this year.
ZP – does that stand for “zero petrol?” – will be limited to just 150, all commissioned by Jaguar’s SV Bespoke division. They’ll get a plaque to prove it, plus ZP badges on the fenders and special wheels.
Other ZP special bits include hand-painted roundels on the doors and porcelain white gloss grille surrounds. The fluting on the seats is also specific to these cars.
Jaguar will offer the ZP Edition F-Type in coupe and convertible models. They’ll have all-wheel drive, and be able to hit 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. After 2024 model year production, the gas-powered F-Type is done. We can’t wait to find out what the automaker has planned for electric.
