Audi has launched the 2024 SQ8 e-tron, offering an amplified performance version of its prestigious flagship luxury electric SUV. This new addition boosts the features of the Q8 e-tron, offering enhanced acceleration, superior handling dynamics, and elevated traction capabilities due to its three-motor quattro drivetrain. While retaining the luxury and functionality of its predecessor, the SQ8 e-tron attracts enthusiasts with its advanced engineering, aligning with Audi’s commitment towards seamless electrified vehicle ownership.

A Blend of High-Performance Drivetrain, Distinguished Design and Intelligent Driving Technology

At the heart of the SQ8 e-tron is a three-motor electric drivetrain, an upgrade from the Q8 e-tron. The improved drivetrain consists of one motor at the front axle and two at the rear, adding 94 hp and 228 lb-ft of torque, and pushing the peak output to an impressive 496 hp and 718 lb-ft of torque in boost mode. This results in accelerated performance, and enhanced turn-in and cornering capabilities due to intelligent torque vectoring.

In addition to the drivetrain enhancements, the SQ8 e-tron distinguishes itself with a broader body and wheelbase, augmenting the SUV’s agility and surefootedness. The widened body, visually anchored to the ground, and its 22-inch 5-arm-interference design wheels showcase the SQ8 e-tron’s athleticism, reinforcing the vehicle’s enhanced performance capabilities.

The interior matches the sophisticated exterior with its luxurious S-design, featuring 12-way adjustable power S-logo embossed front sport seats wrapped in Valcona leather. The SQ8 e-tron further differentiates itself with a performance-themed Carbon square structure interior trim finish, replacing the open pore wood offerings of the Q8 e-tron.

The 2024 Audi SQ8 e-tron is slated to arrive in Canadian showrooms in Q4 2023. In line with the Paris Climate Agreement, Audi continues to promote sustainable mobility, aiming for a 30 percent electrified model portfolio globally by 2025. The SQ8 e-tron marks another stride towards this goal, further enriching Audi’s second-generation electrified U.S. portfolio.
