Circuit Edition adds new blue for 2024
Beefier hardware in suspension and steering
When Toyota launched the GR Corolla, it promised the model would be kept fresh with a series of special editions. Say hello to the latest, the Circuit Edition in Blue Flame.
The Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition offers extras like a vented hood and a sport mesh grille that gives access to the functional brake ducts. And don’t forget the heart of the GRolla, the 1.6L turbo triple that makes 300 hp and drives the car’s all-wheel drive system through a pair of Torsen limited-slip diffs.
So what’s new other than the Blue Flame paint? Matching blue accents on the seats, steering wheel, and gearshift plus black graphics on the side sills.
Ok, that’s not all that special, but this is a super cool colour for the GR Corolla.
There are some changes to the GR line, too, meant to make little improvements to the car’s handling. Toyota has changed some of the bolts on the steering gear and rear suspension, making them slightly larger for more strength. The battery ground is new, too, which frankly is a little unusual.
Toyota also changed the front and rear bumpers, adding new aluminum sheets to improve aero performance. The front bumper ducts have also been tweaked.
The 2024 GR Corolla Circuit Edition will arrive this winter. Expect pricing closer to the launch date.
