2024 Toyota Highlander Priced from $46,550

Toyota’s midsize three-row Highlander carries as one of the better options in the segment

Are you in the market for a reliable, efficient, and spacious midsize three-row SUV? The Toyota Highlander should definitely be on your short list. For the 2024 model year, the Highlander returns with a few adjustments as it was completely revamped for the 2023 model year.

2023 Toyota Highlander Review: New Engine, New Life

Since last year, the Highlander comes with a choice of two all-wheel-drive powertrains. The standard Highlander features a 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and Toyota’s Dynamic Torque All-Wheel-Drive system. The Highlander Hybrid boasts Toyota’s renowned Hybrid Synergy Drive featuring a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, two electric motor-generators, and an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. This hybrid system delivers exceptional fuel efficiency and plenty of power and includes an electronically controlled AWD system.

The cabin is extremely spacious and comfortable. It’s available in both 7- and 8-passenger configurations, with easy access to all three rows. The second-row seats can be either a 60/40 split folding bench or comfortable captain’s chairs. And when you need to haul cargo, the Highlander offers an impressive 2,387 litres of space behind the front row. It also features the Toyota Multimedia system that integrates seamlessly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and offers an intuitive interface that can be controlled through touch, voice, and gestures.

As always, Toyota prioritizes safety, and the Highlander is no exception. It comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ and the Toyota Star Safety System, ensuring that you have the latest in safety technology to protect you and your passengers.
