New screen, more speakers for upgraded MDX

  • New infotainment highlights the update

  • Massive upgrade in speaker counts

Acura is updating the 2025 MDX with a new grille. But the big change inside is the brand ditching the three-row SUVs split-screen and touchpad infotainment for a 12.3-inch touch screen with Google built-in software.

The new front fascia includes a new open-frame Acura grille with a more aggressive mesh. It also has black-out head and taillights and a new front bumper. Top spec models get new versions of the company’s 20 and 21-inch wheels.

Every 2025 Acura MDX has a 12.3-inch touchscreen in a new dash and center console. The console has an easier-access wireless charge bay located where the touchpad used to be along with more storage.

An 11-speaker audio system is standard, two more speakers than before. A 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen system is optional, and the new Type S Advance Package has a whopping 31 speakers.

The new Advance Package, optional on the turbocharged 355 hp Type S, gets that feey audio system as well as 16-way Milano leather front seats with 9-way massage. It, along with Tech pack and above, gtet laminated rear glass and more sound insulation.

Acura is updating the AcuraWatch safety system with a new front camera and a new grill-mount radar. They have wider fields of view and, Acura says, much better object identification. That includes seeing line markings and vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians. The blind spot system can see further, and now has lange change alert.

The 2025 Acura MDX and MDX Type S hit dealers in May.
