2025 Honda Civic Lineup Arrives Soon Priced From $27,540

Honda introduces the 2025 Civic lineup, featuring the return of the Civic Hybrid and new technology

The refreshed 2025 Civic lineup includes updated styling, enhanced technology, and an available hybrid-electric powertrain. Production of the new Civic Hybrid sedan will commence this June at the Honda of Canada Manufacturing plant in Alliston, Ontario.

The new Civic Hybrid sedan stands out with 232 lb.-ft of torque, making it the most powerful Civic ever, aside from the Type R. Honda aims for hybrid-electric models to make up about 60% of Civic sales in Canada, aligning with their broader electrification strategy.

2025 Honda Civic Gets Hybrid Power, Google Built-In

Available Trims and Specifications

The 2025 Civic Sedan is available in several trims, each offering a unique combination of features, performance, and fuel economy:

– LX: Equipped with a 2.0L engine and CVT, this base model starts at $27,540, with a selling price of $29,520. It offers fuel economy ratings of 7.4 L/100km in the city, 5.8 L/100km on the highway, and 6.7 L/100km combined.

– Sport: Also powered by a 2.0L engine and CVT, this trim starts at $31,400, with a selling price of $33,416. Fuel economy is slightly lower at 7.6 L/100km in the city, 6.0 L/100km on the highway, and 6.9 L/100km combined.

– Sport Hybrid: This model features a hybrid powertrain, starting at $33,300 and selling for $35,305. It boasts a fuel economy of 4.7 L/100km in the city, 5.1 L/100km on the highway, and 4.9 L/100km combined.

– Sport Touring Hybrid: At the top of the range, this trim also uses a hybrid powertrain, with a starting price of $36,800 and a selling price of $38,805. Fuel economy matches the Sport Hybrid at 4.7 L/100km in the city, 5.1 L/100km on the highway, and 4.9 L/100km combined.

Expanding the Hybrid Lineup

Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President of Honda Sales and Marketing, expressed confidence in the new Civic Hybrid, noting its potential to invigorate the hybrid-electric market alongside the CR-V Hybrid and Accord Hybrid. He highlighted the balance of performance and fuel efficiency as key strengths of the new model.

Additionally, the refreshed Civic Hatchback, including the first-ever Civic Hatchback Hybrid, is expected to arrive at dealerships later this summer. The 2025 Civic Type R and updated Civic Si will be unveiled in the coming months.
