Safety upgrades make for a better-handling Si
Honda adds Google built-in
There’s a new Honda Civic Si in town. Honda’s fun compact sedan gets a new nose and a reinforced chassis the automaker says will make it more un to drive.
New side-impact standards mean Honda had to beef up the lower B-pillar and the rear door sills. But that increases rigidity, letting the Si’s suspension do its job even better than before. Honda says ride comfort is also improved because it was able to re-tune the suspension dampers.
The 1.5L four still makes 200 hp and 192 lb-ft, but now the rev-match system can blip the throttle on 2-1 downshifts. That smooths out those shifts, making you look like a heel-toe champ.
A more aggressive front fascia, new grill, and new taillights complete the redesign. New wheels are also included, and Honda has added the Urban Gray Peal paint found on the Accord and CR-V.
Then there’s some new tech. Like the other Civic models, it has Google Built-In as well as front-mount USB-C ports. This gives the driver Google Assistant and other apps. The Honda Sensing safety suite has been upgraded to better spot motorcycles and bicycles, and with what Honda calls a more natural-feeling adaptive cruise system. The 2025 Honda Civic Si goes on sale in August from $35,800
