2025 Toyota Camry is Hybrid Only From $34,300 in Canada

New Camry $3,500 more than before

  • 2025 Camry drops gas four, V6

  • New model gets significantly higher price

The refreshed for 2025 Toyota Camry is now hybrid only. Not surprisingly, that comes with a price hike, with the new model starting from $34,300, a price that is around $2,000 higher than last year’s cheapest hybrid and $3,500 more than a basic 2024 car.

Toyota has changed the 2025 Camry’s design, giving it a face inspired by the latest Prius. Like the Prius, it comes with Toyota’s latest hybrid driveline, here offered with both front and all-wheel drive. Front drivers make 225 hp, and AWD lifts the total slightly to 232. Fuel economy for front-drive is 4.6/4.6/4.6 L/100 km (City/Highway/Combined), a figure that would have embarrassed recent Prius models, and AWD models get 5.1 L/100 km on all three cycles.

The basic LE grade model is gone now, so Camry starts with the SE at $34,400 plus destination and fees. It gets an 8.0-inch screen with Toyota’s latest infotainment system, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10-year trial of Safety Connect and Service Connect. It also comes standard with 16-inch alloys, heated front seats (power adjust for the driver), and TSS 3.0 with blind spot monitoring. SE Upgrade for $36,300 adds 18s, a moonroof, a smart key system, and an auto-dimming mirror. SE Upgrade is also offered with AWD for $37,950.

Camry XSE AWD is the next one up and gets 19-inch alloys and a panoramic roof. It also comes with a 12.3-inch center screen and nine-speaker JBL audio. Traffic Jam Assist, front cross-traffic alert, and a driver monitor camera are all included for $44,250.

The top grade is XLE AWD. It has most XSE AWD features but 18-inch wheels instead of 19s. It adds driver seat and mirror position memory along with rain-sensing wipers for $44,950.

Expect the 2025 Toyota Camry at dealers in Canada in late spring. We’ve already driven the new sedan, so get our thoughts here.
