The ID. Buzz is a fully electric vehicle, featuring a 91 kWh (gross) battery pack that feeds a single, 282-horsepower rear-mounted motor, or a motor on each axle in AWD variants, developing an estimated total of 330 horsepower. In comparison, the European model is shorter with two-row seating configuration only, and is motivated by a 201-hp rear motor and an 82 kWh battery.

Final specifications haven’t yet been published by Volkswagen, but the ID. Buzz rides on a wheelbase of about 128 inches or 3,250 millimetres, while overall length is rated at about 195 inches or 4,962 mm. It’s also about 78 inches or 1,985 mm wide and stands 75 inches or 1,927 mm tall. According to these exterior dimensions, the ID. Buzz is stubbier than the gas-powered minivans currently on sale in North America, namely the Toyota Sienna, Honda Odyssey, Kia Carnival and Chrysler Pacifica, but benefits from a longer wheelbase to potentially maximize interior space.
