The 2025 Volvo EX30 was introduces only a few months in Milan, Italy, but interest in the small all-electric SUV is growing every day. The XC40 Recharge has proven to be an interesting offering and the new EX30 is expected to pick up where the XC will leave off.
The Volvo EX30 is available at an enticing starting price of $53,700, or about $6,000 less than the base XC40, for the single motor variation. Stepping up to the twin-motor version sees the base price swell to $59,900. With this setup, the SUV’s 0-100 km/h time is of just 3.6 seconds – making it the fastest accelerating Volvo car, ever. This pricing positions the EV as a competitive alternative to traditional internal combustion engine-powered SUVs in the premium segment.
For buyers looking for customization, the EX30 offers five distinct exterior colours: Moss Yellow, Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, Crystal White, and Onyx Black. These shades range from dynamic and playful to the more traditionally elegant hues.
Transitioning to the interior, the EX30 emphasizes the simplicity and elegance of Scandinavian design. The vehicle combines natural and recycled leather-free materials, offering customers a choice of four interior design expressions – Mist, Pine, Indigo, & Breeze. Additionally, five ambient light themes, each drawing inspiration from Swedish landscapes, enable users to tailor the EX30’s interior ambiance to their liking. Tailored for the Canadian market, the EX30 will include a standard heated steering wheel and heated front seats for those chilly winter months.
Beyond aesthetics, the EX30 is rich in features. Synonymous with Volvo, the car boasts a high safety standard. This vehicle is specifically engineered to ensure the safety of its occupants while also prioritizing the safety of those outside the car. Leveraging their extensive knowledge derived from real-world incidents, Volvo assures EX30’s protective capabilities.
On the technology front, every EX30 comes equipped with built-in Google features, including Google Maps and Google Assistant. Additionally, the SUV will have wireless Apple CarPlay and advanced safety features like the Driver Alert System, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Door Opening Alert, and Front & Rear Collision mitigation.
