2026 FIAT Topolino Arrives in U.S. Starting at $13,995

The 2026 FIAT Topolino arrives in limited U.S. quantities with up to 74 km of range.

  • FIAT enters the U.S. electric micromobility market with the 2026 Topolino.

  • Topolino offers 46 miles (74 km) of estimated range from a 5.4-kWh battery.

  • Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) conversion kit will enable public-road operation on eligible low-speed roads.

FIAT has officially launched the 2026 Topolino to the U.S. market. This is the brand’s first entry into the country’s emerging electric micromobility segment. Limited quantities of the battery-electric vehicle are now available through select dealerships, with pricing starting at $13,995 (CDN$19,845) before destination charges.

The Topolino is offered in two versions: the standard model, equipped with a panoramic glass roof and conventional doors, and the Topolino Dolcevita, which replaces the doors with rope barriers and features a roll-back soft-top roof. Both models are finished exclusively in Verde Vita green with retro-inspired 14-inch wheel covers.

Designed primarily for neighbourhood transportation and leisure driving, the very compact EV measures just 99.6 inches (2.53 metres – the smart fortwo measured 2.7 meters) long and weighs approximately 1,073 lbs (487 kg). FIAT positions the vehicle for use in private communities, resorts, beach towns, downtown districts and other low-speed environments where short-distance travel is common.

Power comes from a single front-mounted electric motor producing all of 8 hp. In its standard configuration, the Topolino reaches a maximum speed of 19 mph (30 km/h). Energy is supplied by a 5.4-kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering an estimated driving range of up to 46 miles (74 km). A full recharge takes about 5 hours with a 2.3-kW AC connection.

Initially, the Topolino will not be certified for use on public roads in the United States. Instead, it will be intended for private property and other permitted low-speed applications. FIAT says owners will be able to install a federally compliant Low Speed Vehicle (LSV) conversion kit by the end of summer 2026 at no additional cost. The package will raise the maximum speed to 25 mph (40 km/h) and add equipment including a rearview mirror, backup camera and pedestrian warning system, allowing the vehicle to qualify for operation on roads with posted speed limits of up to 35 mph (approx. 60 km/h) where local regulations permit.

Inside, the Topolino features a digital instrument display, smartphone holder, USB-C charging port, luggage storage, gear selector and additional storage compartments. The standard model also includes a windshield defroster.

FIAT says the Topolino is intended to address growing interest in compact electric transportation that bridges the gap between golf carts and conventional automobiles, all of it with Italian flair.
