Lexus Announces 2026 RZ Pricing: Entry Point Holds at $59,990 Despite Major Upgrades

• Five models from $59,990, spanning 224 to 408 horsepower

• New 76.96-kWh battery enables up to 486 km estimated range

• F SPORT introduces Lexus-first virtual manual transmission with paddle shifters

Lexus has expanded its RZ electric SUV lineup to five models for 2026, adding a front-wheel-drive entry variant and a performance-oriented F SPORT model with a virtual manual transmission. The range now starts at $59,990 and extends to $82,960, with all models benefiting from increased battery capacity, enhanced range, and NACS charging compatibility.

The expansion introduces the RZ 350e Signature as the first front-wheel-drive model in the Canadian lineup, alongside the RZ 550e F SPORT AWD, which becomes the most powerful RZ to date with 408 horsepower. Three RZ 450e AWD models bridge the gap between the entry-level and performance variants.

76.96-kWh Battery Powers Three Powertrain Configurations

All 2026 RZ models use a new lithium-ion battery with 76.96 kWh of capacity, paired with redesigned eAxles and an updated water-cooling system. The front-wheel-drive RZ 350e Signature produces 224 horsepower with an estimated range of 486 kilometres. The all-wheel-drive RZ 450e models generate 313 horsepower with an estimated range of 418 to 420 kilometres, depending on trim. The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD tops the lineup with 408 horsepower and an estimated range of 366 kilometres.

2026 Lexus RZ Range

All-wheel-drive models feature a refined version of the DIRECT4 system, which optimizes drive force and posture control during acceleration, cornering, and dynamic manoeuvres. Lexus covers all EV components, including the battery, with an eight-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty.

NACS Charging Port Enables 30-Minute Fast Charging

The 2026 RZ adopts the North American Charging System (NACS) port, providing access to thousands of high-speed charging stations across Canada. Under ideal conditions, DC fast charging can restore the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. An 11-kW onboard AC charger handles Level One and Level Two charging.

F SPORT Model Introduces Virtual Manual Transmission

The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD debuts Lexus’s M Mode system, which provides virtual manual gear shifting through paddle shifters. The system simulates an eight-speed setup by calculating virtual power source torque based on throttle input and vehicle speed, then applying the selected gear ratio. The system generates simulated engine and exhaust sounds, while a shift guide meter in the instrument display tracks gear changes in real time.

The F SPORT model includes specially tuned suspension systems, black exterior accents, 20-inch F SPORT wheels with blue brake calipers, and black Ultrasuede interior trim with blue stitching.

Five Trim Levels Span $59,990 to $82,960

The lineup begins with the RZ 350e Signature at $59,990, featuring 18-inch wheels, NuLuxe upholstery, a 14-inch touchscreen with Lexus Interface, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 10-speaker audio system.

The RZ 450e AWD Signature $66,990 adds all-wheel drive and 313 horsepower. The RZ 450e AWD Luxury $72,990 includes 20-inch wheels, a fixed glass panoramic moon roof, Parking Support Brake, and a Panoramic View Monitor. The RZ 450e AWD Executive $82,960 adds heated rear seats, a 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, the Dynamic Sky panoramic glass roof, Ultrasuede upholstery with laser-etched door trim, and the Advanced Park system.

The RZ 550e F SPORT AWD $77,990 includes the M Mode virtual manual system, F SPORT styling elements, 20-inch F SPORT wheels, Mark Levinson audio, the Dynamic Sky roof, and Advanced Park.

All models feature Lexus Safety System + 3.0, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, eight airbags, Safe Exit Assist with Digital Latch, and a backup camera. The 2026 Lexus RZ lineup is now available at Lexus dealers across Canada, expanding from the 2025 model’s initial availability in Quebec and British Columbia only.
