Up to 338 hp and sub-5-second acceleration in Sport and GT AWD trims
Estimated range of over 480 km on long-range FWD model with 77.0-kWh battery
Standard 14-inch touchscreen, EyeSight safety tech, and fast charging in 30 minutes
Subaru has introduced the 2026 Subaru Uncharted, a fully electric small compact SUV that will join the company’s expanding zero-emission lineup. Though we’re still on the fence with its name, the new model delivers up to 338 horsepower, a sub-5-second 0–100 km/h time in its dual-motor variants, and a projected range exceeding 480 kilometres in the long-range front-wheel-drive version. Canadian sales are expected to begin in early 2026.

Available in front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive configurations, the Uncharted will include four trims, with the Sport and GT variants featuring Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and X-Mode. These models pair dual motors with a 77.0 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering an estimated range of up to 460 km. Single-motor front-wheel-drive versions provide 221 horsepower and are designed for extended range and affordability. The FWD trims will need to truly be more affordable than the AWD Sport trim to get any traction in Canada.
Subaru has engineered the Uncharted to prioritize handling, straight-line stability, and off-pavement prowess. The vehicle rides on a platform incorporating lightweight high-strength steel and structural battery integration. At more than 700 litres, cargo capacity exceeds that of the Solterra despite the Uncharted being over 170 mm shorter. A tight turning radius similar to the Crosstrek enhances urban manoeuvrability.
Fast charging capability allows the Uncharted to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes using its standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. A battery preconditioning system supports charging in cold-weather environments. Home charging is supported by an 11-kW onboard charger compatible with both Level 1 and Level 2 equipment.
Inside, the Uncharted is equipped with a standard 14-inch touchscreen display, wireless smartphone integration, and dual wireless charging pads. Rear passengers have access to USB-C ports and, on the GT trim, heated outboard rear seats. Subaru’s EyeSight driver assistance suite is included. The cabin features soft-touch surfaces, orange accents, and StarTex upholstery in the Sport and GT trims.

Design elements include 18- and 20-inch wheels, an illuminated Subaru badge, and a distinctive two-tone roof available on the GT. Black badging, a high beltline, and low-profile roof rails complement a streamlined silhouette.
Subaru has not yet released pricing or full technical specifications. More details are expected closer to the Uncharted’s market launch in 2026.
