2027 Kia EV4 GT Gets $61,344 Canadian All-In Price

Kia Canada has priced the 2027 EV4 GT at $58,595 MSRP, positioning the AWD electric sedan at the top of its limited car family. The all-in price is of $61,344 before sales taxes, licensing and insurance. Factory orders are now available through EV-certified Kia dealerships.

The GT pairs the already available 81.4-kWh battery with two electric motors for AWD traction and performance. Combined output is rated at 288 hp and 345 lb-ft of torque. The estimated driving range is 431 km on a full charge, although that figure remains a preliminary manufacturer estimate. The FWD EV4 GT-Line’s range is an estimated 488 km.

The performance model builds on the EV4’s dedicated 400-volt Electric Global Modular Platform architecture. Also included are a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, while the 81.4-kWh battery used elsewhere in the EV4 range can complete a 10-to-80-per-cent DC fast charge in an estimated 31 minutes under ideal conditions. The charge should remain unchanged for the GT.

Visual and cabin changes distinguish the GT from other EV4 versions. The GT is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels, neon-accented brake callipers (common on other GT models), suede and synthetic-leather seating and a GT-themed instrument cluster. A steering-wheel-mounted GT button provides access to the model’s added performance capability.

This “compact” electric sedan is the first of its kind in the segment and hopefully will inspire other automakers to follow suit. That said, it seems unlikely that brands like Subaru, Toyota, or others will invest in such a product. We’ll have to wait for the Nissan LEAF Nismo, which won’t match it power-wise, or for a surprise entry from a Chinese automaker. Perhaps a Ford Fathom ST or RS? A Fiat 500e Abarth? A 2028 Chevy Bolt SS? We can dream…

Canadian customers can order the EV4 GT in Snow White Pearl, Shale Grey, Aurora Black, Magma Red or Yacht Blue. Kia has not provided a retail arrival date beyond confirming that factory ordering is open.
