Lexus Paints the IS Green for Its Quarter-Century Milestone

• Limited to 350 units for the entire North American market

Lexus unveiled the 2027 IS Special Appearance Package today, marking 25 years of the IS with a limited edition built off the IS 350 F SPORT. Production is capped at 350 units for the North American market, and the cars are scheduled to reach Lexus dealers across Canada later this year.

The IS has been part of the Lexus lineup for a quarter-century, and since 2022, the brand has marked each year with a new Special Edition or Special Appearance Package. This one continues that tradition with the most distinctive paint job yet.

Circuit Green Paint and 19-inch Black BBS Forged Wheels

The headline change is a new exterior colour called Circuit Green, paired with 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin follows the theme: black NuLuxe-trimmed seats with Ultrasuede inserts get green stitching, finished off with satin chrome trim.

The seats themselves are F SPORT perforated NuLuxe, so the special edition keeps the sportier character of the donor car rather than trading it for luxury-first appointments.

311 hp V6 and Standard AWD Across the 2027 IS Lineup

Under the hood, nothing changes from the rest of the Canadian lineup, and that’s not a bad thing. All 2027 Lexus IS models sold in Canada, Special Appearance Package included, use a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of peak torque. Power runs through a six-speed automatic transmission to standard all-wheel drive.

Adaptive Variable Suspension comes standard on the special edition, along with Drive Mode Select offering ECO, Normal, Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom settings.

Standard Driver Assistance and Comfort Equipment

The Special Appearance Package also carries a lengthy standard equipment list:

• Traffic Jam Assist capability, Lane Change Assist and Front Cross-Traffic Alert
• Triple Beam LED headlamps
• Moonroof
• Intuitive Parking Assist
• Panoramic View Monitor
• Mark Levinson audio

For a limited edition aimed at enthusiasts, the driver assistance suite is worth noting; Traffic Jam Assist and Lane Change Assist are features usually associated with the brand’s larger sedans and SUVs.

350 Units for North America, Canadian Arrival Later This Year

Lexus has not announced pricing or full specifications yet; both will be shared at a later date. What is confirmed: 350 units for all of North America, with Canadian deliveries beginning later this year. Lexus has not broken out a Canada-specific allocation from that total.

Given the annual cadence of IS special editions since 2022 and the anniversary angle here, this one is likely to move quickly once order books open at Canadian dealers.
