Exterior Design: A More Confident, More Authentic GLB

The GLB retains its upright, square-shouldered identity, but it has clearly grown up. A wheelbase increase of six centimetres and an extra ten centimetres in total length gives it a more substantial presence—so much so that the new GLB now exceeds the current GLC in length. Widened door openings improve ease of entry and exit, while subtle changes to the roofline and proportions preserve the GLB’s boxy SUV character.

Defrosting performance sees similar gains. In controlled tests at –15°C, the GLB was able to clear its windshield enough to drive in roughly 15 minutes, using only the automatic defrost setting.
