Upgraded X-Pro adds wider tires, new AWD tech, and 9.1 inches of ground clearance.
Interior grows with more legroom, dual wireless chargers, and second-row captain’s chairs.
Kia has introduced the second-generation Telluride SUV at the 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show, and has launched the model’s first hybrid powertrain along with more off-road capabilities. The redesigned three-row utility vehicle is expected to enter production in early 2026 at Kia’s West Point, Georgia, facility.

The new Telluride hybrid combines a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine with a 1.65-kWh lithium-ion battery and electric motors, producing a total of 329 horsepower and 339 lb.-ft. of torque. Kia estimates a combined fuel economy rating of 6.7 L/100 km (35 mpg) and a driving range of approximately 965 kilometres.
All Telluride models come standard with a turbocharged internal combustion engine generating 274 hp and 311 lb.-ft., up 49 lb.-ft. from the previous V6 models. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on ICE variants, while hybrids use a six-speed automatic. All-wheel drive with electronic torque distribution is available across the lineup, and AWD-equipped models offer additional traction-enhancing features, including multi-terrain modes and electronic limited-slip differentials.

The Telluride X-Pro trim takes off-road capability to the next level with 9.1 inches of ground clearance, wider all-terrain tires, and an exclusive Ground View Monitor, which displays trail conditions below 10 km/h. A reinforced suspension setup and front/rear recovery points are also included.
Dimensionally, the new Telluride grows slightly in size. The SUV now spans 199.2 inches (5,060 mm) in overall length and rides on a 116.9-inch (2,069 mm) wheelbase. These changes allow for more second- and third-row legroom, as well as increased cargo space—up to 86.9 cubic feet (2,461 litres) with all rear seats folded. The third-row cargo area offers 22.3 cubic feet (631 litres) of storage in gasoline models and 21.3 (603) in the hybrid.

Interior updates include an available Ergo Motion driver’s seat with massage functionality, relaxation-mode front seats with power leg rests, and climate-controlled second-row captain’s chairs. The cabin also features improved insulation with thicker glass, triple door seals, and additional sound-absorbing materials.
Kia has equipped the Telluride with its latest infotainment suite, including dual wireless phone charging pads, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trims, and available dual 12.3-inch panoramic digital displays running the ccNC operating system. New features include a generative AI voice assistant, over-the-air update capability, and entertainment streaming for Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+.

Safety equipment has also grown with the addition of a front-row centre airbag, now one of ten standard airbags. Also standard are Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Warning, and a radar-based Rear Occupant Alert system. Available driver-assistance technologies include Highway Driving Assist 2, which can support lane changes and adaptive cruise on certain road types.
The 2027 Telluride is expected to arrive in U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of 2026. Canadian availability and pricing have not yet been announced.
