Dodge is not done with honking V8 power
The Durango Hellcat took 2022 off and hasn’t lifted since
After taking a load of heat for bringing back the beefiest version of the Durango for 2023, Dodge is doing it again. The SRT Hellcat supercharged V8 will be under the hood of Dodge’s SUV once again for 2024.
The 2024 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat will once again get that 710 hp 6.2L blown V8 that makes it the meanest SUV you can buy. The family hauler can hit 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and run the quarter mile in 11.5, and is loaded up with performance enhancing features like upgraded brakes and suspension.
Dodge will offer the 2024 Durango SRT with Plus and Premium packages, letting buyers add more luxury stuff including a towing package, red seatbelts, Laguna leather seats, and loads of other stuff that doesn’t go fast but does look cool.
If you don’t want a 707 hp Durango, Dodge will keep offering the SUV with a 6.4L hemi V8 in the standard SRT, a 5.7L V8, and the 3.6L V6. New this year, Durango Citadel trim can be fitted with the R/T’s Tow N Go package that adds some SRT appearance items and a new exhaust along with the ability to tow 8,700 lbs. Also new, the trailer tow group gets blind spot monitoring with trailer detection.
