724 KM, $75k Chevrolet Silverado EV Models Announced

Silverado EV almost on sale

  • Silverado EV hits market this summer

  • Electric pickup now offers up to 724 km range

More than two years after Chevrolet Canada first announced specs and pricing for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV, the electric pickup is still not at dealers. But it’s closer, and now Chevrolet is giving us more details about a couple of new trim grades.

The newly-announced 2024 Silverado EVs are in the Work Truck, or WT line. The Silverado EV 4WT will offer 724 km of electric range, along with 515 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. There will also be a 3WT with 510 hp. That lower-spec truck will be able to tow up to 12,500 lbs and has 1,750 lbs of payload.

Chevrolet didn’t announce the range for the 3WT truck, though it’s clear it will be lower than 724 km. It also only gave us pricing for the 3WT at $74,699 and not the price for the longer-range 4WT model. Even the 3WT is a long way off of the promised $52,448 base model that was promised in 2022.

Other features on both 3 and 4WT models include 350 kW fast charging, an 11-inch touchscreen, and six 120v power outlets. Both will also get adaptive cruise, EZ lift tailgate, and HD surround cameras.

The RST First Edition, Chevrolet’s top spec truck, now gets 708 km of range, up from the 640 km previously announced. It will start from $117,499, and will come with 10,000 lbs of towing and 1,300 lbs payload, 754 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque, adaptive air suspension, 24-inch wheels, and a 17-inch center screen.

Chevrolet said that customer deliveries of the Silverado EV models are expected to start mid-year.
