The Government of Canada’s new iZEV program provides a $ 2,500 incentive for plug-in hybrid vehicles.
The Government of Canada’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Purchase Incentive Program (iZEV), which began May 1st, does not only cover 100% electric cars, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles also have access to it.
Although the incentive is less than an all-electric car, the government still offers $ 2,500 for shorter range plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
For 2019, the list of vehicles eligible for that $ 2,500 incentive program is still diversified. Indeed, it includes pretty much all types of vehicles available on the market like an SUV, a sedan and a hatchback.
Here are the shorter range plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, in alphabetical order, eligible for the iZEV program:
