At the end of the 2025 model year, the Mercedes-Benz EQB will be leaving the North American market, as the automaker is discontinuing this model here.

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB is a small, fully electric luxury SUV. It’s offered in two versions: the EQB 250+ and the EQB 300 4Matic. The EQB only arrived in Canada partway through 2023.
As part of research for the upcoming 2026 Automobile Annual, we learned that 2025 will be the final year for the EQB in both Canada and the U.S. Mercedes-Benz has confirmed this information.
Mercedes-Benz Canada states that the decision is straightforward, as the EQB has reached the end of its product lifecycle. That doesn’t mean the brand is backing away from EVs — far from it. The new all-electric CLA, the brand’s first built on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) platform, will be arriving here soon. Two electric SUVs based on this same platform are also in the pipeline.

Mercedes-Benz’s electric lineup still features plenty of choice, including the EQE sedan and SUV, EQS sedan and SUV, the electric G-Class, and the EQS Maybach SUV — not to mention a wide range of plug-in hybrids.
Highlights of the 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQB
Before it disappears for good, it’s worth remembering that the EQB arrived in Canada in 2023. Despite its compact size, it could seat up to seven passengers, much like the GLB it’s based on. A five-seat configuration is also available.

For 2025, the lineup includes two trims: the EQB 250+ and EQB 300 4Matic. The 250+ uses a single electric motor driving the front wheels, producing 188 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque, starting at $59,990. The 300 4Matic adds a second motor for all-wheel drive, boosting output to 225 horsepower and 288 lb-ft of torque, with a starting price of $64,990.
It’s also worth mentioning that Mercedes will be dropping the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic after the 2025 model year. However, the GLB 250 and GLB 250 4MATIC will carry on into 2026.
