Hyundai Celebrates the 2026 Fifa World Cup with an Available Dashboard Theme

  • A new theme for the driver information and infotainment screens features Soccer balls and Boston Dynamics robots.

  • Drivers in South Korea, Europe, the United States and Canada will be able to download this theme via Bluelink.

  • This will be compatible with the Nexo, the Ioniq 5, the Ioniq 9, the Tucson, the Santa Fe, and the Palisade.

As the 2026 Fifa World Cup approaches, partner automakers have stared releasing some special edition items to commemorate the event.

The latest is Hyundai, who has just announced a new digital theme for some of its vehicle’s dashboard screens.

Indeed, the South Korean automaker has made available a new design theme for the driver information screen and the infotainment screen of a selection of its SUVs.

Available for download via Bluelink for owners of the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 9, Nexo, Tucson, Santa Fe, and Palisade, this theme mixes Soccer and robotics imagery.

This translates into a bright blue and green background for the infotainment screen and a matching paint job for the small car icon within the instrument cluster.

In addition, the speedometer and tachometer or electric power meter each take the appearance of a soccer ball.

Most evident, however, are the icons for the different menus within the infotainment system, which all include Boston Dynamics’ Spot and Atlas robots playing with a soccer ball.

Hyundai completed its purchase of Boston Dynamics back in early 2021, which puts it at the forefront of robotic technology.

In addition to the dashboard theme, which will be available to drivers in Canada, the United States, Europe, and South Korea, the automaker will also participate in the actual World Cup by bringing both the Spot and Atlas robots to the events, which will take place in Canada, the United States, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19th.

Hyundai says this new display theme showcases one of the possibilities brought about by software-defined vehicles and allows drivers to immerse themselves into the excitement surrounding the Fifa World Cup.
