Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has certified the 2027 Volvo EX60 P10 AWD with an estimated driving range of up to 531 km on a single charge, giving the new electric SUV a higher official range than Volvo Cars had previously projected.
The updated certification applies to EX60 P10 AWD models equipped with 20-inch or 21-inch all-season tires, while versions fitted with 22-inch wheels receive an estimated range of up to 502 km. The figures are based on NRCan-approved testing procedures.
2027 Volvo EX60 First Review: Scandinavian Luxury Meets Next-Generation EV Innovation
The EX60 becomes the longest-range battery-electric vehicle Volvo has offered in the Canadian market. The company positions the model in the mid-size electric SUV category, one of the country’s largest EV segments, following its global debut earlier this year and the opening of Canadian order books this spring.
The model is also the first vehicle developed on Volvo Cars’ new SPA3 vehicle architecture. The platform incorporates an 800-volt electrical system designed to support higher charging performance. According to Volvo, the EX60 P10 AWD can recover up to 265 km of driving range in approximately 10 minutes when connected to compatible high-power DC fast-charging equipment.

Another first for the brand in North America is the inclusion of a factory-installed North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. This allows EX60 owners to use Tesla Supercharger locations without requiring an adapter, giving customers access to more than 29,000 Tesla Supercharger stations through the native connection.
The NRCan certification provides an independently verified estimate of the vehicle’s driving range, offering Canadian buyers a standardized benchmark when comparing EVs. Actual driving range, energy consumption and charging performance will continue to vary depending on factors including temperature, driving conditions, battery condition, vehicle configuration and charging equipment.
Volvo Car Canada is currently accepting orders for the 2027 EX60 ahead of market launch.
