German tuning company Posaidon is responsible for this car.
The factory AMG A 45 S already produces 415-horsepower.
The lowered sun-yellow car in the images looks incredible.
Although we love reporting on supercars from Koenigsegg or Ferrari, many of us at Motor Illustrated appreciate tuned and well-prepared cars from professional after-market outfits. One such example is this amazing 2020 Mercedes-AMG A 45 S that Posaidon, a German tuner, has given the right amount of attention, and in the proper areas.
The kicker for this AMG A 45 RS is that its boosted 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine now delivers 525 mind-blowing horsepower. Out of the box, the factory A 45 S (a version we don’t get) is endowed with no less than 415-horsepower. With a larger turbocharger and as-of-yet undisclosed tuning magic, Posaidon has managed to coax 262.5-horsepower per litre of displacement. The result is a compact hatchback that crushes the 0-100km/h spring in 3.5 seconds on the way to a top speed of 323km/h.
Along with the engine upgrade, Posaidon has fit the car with bigger brakes, a new exhaust system, carbon fibre wheels, and a revised suspension.
The same tuning that’s gone into the A 45 RS can be applied to the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 and the GLA 45.
